Sulfur Cinquefoil | Potentilla recta

Perennial; one to several stems per plant. Numerous leaves on the stems, 5-7 leaflets with toothed edges. Stems and leaves are covered with stiff hairs. Pale yellow flowers with 5 heart shaped petals. The native look-alike, slender cinguefoil (Potentilla gracillis), has white woolly hair on the undersurface of the leaves; the invasive plant does not have the woolly hairs.
