Perennial; alternating, lanceolate leaves. Early growth is rosette-like clusters of rounded leaves on water surface. Leaves and stems have fine white hairs. Yellow to orange colored solitary flowers. No glands at leaf tips.

Habitat Notes Slow-flowing to static water, ponds, lakes, ditches and river banks.
