Checker Lily | Fritillaria affinis

Leafy stalks reach 2-4 feet in height with 1-12 pendant, six-petaled flowers, dappled in colors from green and brown to yellow and purple. Also known as chocolate lily.

Soil Tolerance Prefers drier, well-drained soils, rocky soils, and can survie in a xeric garden.
Special Uses Attracts showy insects. Plants may go dormant for 1-2 years following blooming. To ensure good flowering, plant a colony of bulbs.
