Benton County CWMA Let's Pull Together 2026
Join us and our partners for one of several weed pull events throughout Benton County as we work to eradicate ivy, blackberry, scotchbroom, and other noxious invaders!
Witham Hill Natural Area | Marys River Watershed Council, Corvallis Parks & Recreation | 9:00 am - 12:00 pm | Description: Witham Hill NA is in northwest Corvallis. Volunteers will cut invasive trees like holly and hawthorn that are overtaking the forest. Some ivy removal may also occur.
Old Peak Meadow | Institute for Applied Ecology, City of Corvallis | 9:00 am - 12:00 pm | Description: Old Peak Meadow is in the Corvallis Watershed near Alsea. Volunteers will remove encroaching oxeye daisies and other non-native vegetation from this upland prairie habitat.
Marys Peak Meadow | Institute for Applied Ecology | 9:00 am - 12:00 pm | Description: Marys Peak is in the Corvallis Watershed near Alsea. Volunteers will remove encroaching oxeye daisies and other non-native vegetation from this upland prairie habitat.
Takena Landing | Albany Parks & Recreation | 10:00 am - 12:00 PM | Description: Takena Landing is in North Albany. Volunteers will help remove English ivy from mature trees and cut back blackberry thickets. All tools will be provided by the Albany Parks’ volunteer program.
Harkens Lake | Greenbelt Land Trust | 9:00 am - 12:00 pm | Description: Harkens Lake is south of Corvallis just before Monroe. Volunteers will help pull and remove newly detected garlic mustard from riparian forest habitat. Youth volunteers are welcome to join this project but must attend with an adult! Accessibility Notes: 1) There are no restrooms located at Harkens Lake. 2) There is poison oak present at this project location. Exercise precaution by wearing closed toe shoes and long sleeves/pants.
