The 2023 Native Plant Sale was a great success, with nearly 7,000 shrubs, trees, and flowers distributed to our online customers. More than 90% of our inventory sold out! But with about 200 plants leftover, we wanted to ensure that every plant found a place in the landscape.

All of the leftover plants have now found wonderful new homes, thanks to our partners at Corvallis Sustainability Coalition (CSC). The meadow checkermallow, narrow mules’ ear, serviceberry, redtwig dogwood and coyote bush were planted at Bald Hill Natural Area as part of the Dunawi Creek Regeneration Project. The salmonberry, Pacific ninebark, beaked hazelnut, thimbleberry and mock-orange were planted in the Starker Arts Park wetlands area.

Our friends at Marys River Watershed Council (MRWC) claimed the crabapple, Osoberry, cascara, sword ferns, Douglas firs, and white oaks for various habitat restoration projects, including the West Oaks restoration project. The Grand Oaks Homeowners Association also adopted over a dozen white oaks for use in their City-approved restoration plan.
