Grants for Educators
Benton SWCD Conservation Education Grant for funding major or minor efforts in Natural Resources Education. If you want to engage students in the study of natural resources, we want to help you fulfill your DREAMS! Applications become available in August and close in October. Contact Heath Keirstead (email@example.com or 541-753-7208) if you have questions. PLEASE NOTE: Corvallis School District educators should inform their school administrator prior to application submission.
The 2016 Conservation Education Grant Application period ended on Friday, October 7, 2016. (Click here for application.)
We try to fund as many educators as we can. A total of $2500 is available for this school year. Average grant award is $500. We fund field trips, interns, garden supplies, and a wide variety of other projects.
In 2016 and 2017, Benton SWCD will emphasize the importance of activities that support pollinators or educate about pollinators. The District is particularly interested in education projects that build/expand pollinator habitat and/or educate students about the importance of pollinators. While your educator grant application is not required to support pollinator education, it may receive a higher ranking if it contains pollinator components.
