Darkthroat Shooting Star (Dodecatheon pulchellum)








Charming herbaceous perennial boasting brilliant magenta flowers. Unusual swept-back flowers with a yellow ring around their base, from which 5 stamens join to form a downward-pointing beak. Blooms late spring to early summer.
