Partners
This list highlights our public partnerships. Landowners and Volunteers are other important partners.
USDI BLM
USDA Forest Service
Through Bureau of Land Management Secure Rural Schools & Community Self-determination Act of 2000 funding BFPIP has aided in developing several projects that have contributed to opening vital headwater habitat to migrating fish. In addition the collaborative efforts during assessment and sharing of data have yielded a greater perspective on future projects.
Through the collaborative data sharing the Forest Service has helped improve the quality and insight into the projects that we work on.
Benton County
Oregon Department of Forestry
The partnership between the BFPIP and Benton County has been one of the mainstays of this program. The data collected by the BFPIP has been vital in the implementation by Benton County of culvert replacement projects that have improved infrastructure and fish passage simultaneously. Many thanks to Benton County.
With many of the headwaters on State Lands the collaboration with Oregon Department of Forestry is important to the success of our projects.
ODF&W
Marys River Watershed Council
The data collected by Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife is crucial to the correct prioritization of the project location and the eventual prioritization of any fish passage barriers in those locations.
Marys River Watershed Council through the Fish Passage Committee assists in sub-basin identification, landowner contact, and project logistics.
Luckiamute Watershed Council
OWEB
Luckiamute Watershed Council has been crucial in the implementation of projects that the BFPIP has been a part. Like other watershed councils they have assisted in identification of project locations, landowner contacts and project logistics.
Since 2001 and Oregon Watershed Enhancement Board's first grant to start this program there have been more than a dozen projects that have completed because of the data collected by BFPIP.
