We Need You!
Many of our programs and projects are bigger than the BSWCD staff can handle alone. Here are some of the volunteer opportunities that might be just right for you:
Annual Native Plant Sale
In January and February we need plant sale volunteers. Volunteers are invaluable in the success of this event. You can pick up plants at nurseries, assist in sale site set up, help customers fill orders, and push a broom once the dust settles.
Become a Weed Spotters Volunteer! Be a trained volunteer member of the force to tackle invasive plants. The Weed Spotters Volunteers help identify and report weeds, participate in meaningful weed pull events and more!
We participate in many fun youth education events around the community!
Annual Urban Creek Tour
We have been working with partners since 2008 to provide Annual Urban Creek Tours to explore fascinating locations around the city. We need volunteers to help coordinate the tour and set up each tour station.
Neighborhood Captains are concerned community members living in North Albany who share information with their neighbors.
Year-round volunteer opportunities in the office include archiving documents, newsletter mailing and hand distribution. Soliciting donations for our annual meeting and annual Thank You Celebration is a fun job for the right volunteer. Contact us to find out what exciting project is waiting for you!
